Our guest speaker Tracy Humphreys came to speak to us from a parent and also a professional’s P.O.V about BCED Access (BCEdAccess – Collective action for equitable education.) This organization helps families and students with disabilities or complex learners to gain access yo beneficial resources to help aid with one’s learning journey. As a future educator, some ways that I hope to approach support within my classroom includes:
- advocating
- Giving parents resources to find help
- Getting the appropriate type of support for my students
- engage with students
